    Default Redline repairs?

    Hi folks,

I'm trying to get an idea of how many people have sent their Redlines back in for repair. I've had mine in twice for poor sensitivity problems. It now needs to go back again.

    Please share your experiences.

    Thanks,

    -Badger

Once, for a "Service Required" about a year ago. It's been fine since.

Mine was in for repairs last summer. Working great since.

It flipped out - sending false K alerts when in the middle of nowhere. Alerted to non-existent signals.

I hear that the 2006 and up model year UFO's now have VCAS (Vehicle Collision Avoidance System) that utilize K-Band. The aliens couldn't get approval for Ï¿ - Band from the FCC which means that desert goers are going to suffer quite a few more K-Band falses.

I see a ton of threads about speaker problems or the plan ole "Service Required". Try the search button you will find a bunch. Not worth it IMO. I would just invest in an STi-R if you need an undetectable detector otherwise I'd go with a V1.

Haven't needed to send mine in yet and its not quite a year old.

As for speaker or service required issues that i have seen in the many forums it seems to be above the average for speaker issues and about normal for service.

As a V1 zombie, my Redline has performed flawlessly. The only thing wrong is the crappy ramp-up on Ka band and the lack of arrows.

Why do you think your unit is having sensitivity problems? Please describe how you came to this conclusion.
