Default Redline going off every 30 seconds on i280. .s witch to 9500ix?

So my daily commute is from San Jose --> San Francisco. I usually take I-280 or 101.

On 280 there are some kind of 'drones' that I read about on here apparantly from this company speedinfo.net

Anyways, I'll be driving and my Redline will literally be going off every 30 seconds or so, K band. Sometimes it will stay constant for awhile othertimes I'll just get short bursts.

Suffice to say this has made the Redline basically useless to me.. it seems like cops around here use Ka band mainly but I'm not really sure.

So I'm wondering if maybe I should return the Redline for the Passport 9500ix. Would that be able to filter all these speed detectors?

Check to see if your TSR turn on the Redline is an awesome rd. The ix also have that feature but if you do a lot of city then the ix is the one to go with. The TSR will filter those type of drone.

If you drive mainly highway you're better off with the Redline the TSR feature is usually turn off and you're welcome.

Your RedLine is alerting to K band traffic drones used to run traffic systems such as Sigalert.com. TSR will solve this problem.

I had the same problem with my Redline alerting to drones in NC on my trips to SC. I enabled TSR and it works great. Leaves me a little worried on it blocking K band though.

It just delays the k band so that the 1/2 sec bursts don't alert you. You will still get alerted if it lasts longer than 1 sec aprox.

Deadline mutes for almost 1 second. I/O ownage! At least with V1 we can mute the false to lower customizable volume and still have the arrows.

Tried the TSR option. Works -awesome- now. On my drive to work on N 280 Ka band came up a couple times, didn't see anything but was still cautious. Maybe five minutes later I see some poor sucker pulled over..

On my way home I took 101 South. This goes right by SFO.. I got some K, X, and Ka bands near there but didn't see any LEO.

Around San Mateo I got a Ka band reading a couple times and was sure it was a cop. I never saw anything though .. maybe he was on on the Northbound divide?

Again, thanks, I was about to send this back and try the 9500xi..

Now to start looking into laser countermeasures...

You can dispense with X band unless you drive to Oregon - no one here uses it. If you are only concerned about CHP as I am - then disable K band as well. This way 99% of your alerts will be from CHP. Beware on 280 they use LIDAR often, especially in San Mateo County.

And yeah, the blast of K band is from the drones. They are all over the Bay Area. I eliminate that problem by turning off K band altogether.
