And Escort has been crying about people lumping Beltronics in the same boat. So once again you might as well and put Bel/Escort into one forum yet again. They are stream lineing there production, everthing is going to be the same except for a few software tweaks. :roll:

I don't know the reasoning behind the Forum split, unless it was to call attention to the Bel STi. There isn't a comparable Escort product, yet.
Still the internals on the RX65 and X50 are the same, as are the Bel795 and the Escort 7500S (I think). So there is hardware commonality. It's been stated before that all the hardware is built in Canada by Bel. So do we really need two Forums..........for twin companies?

:?: I don't know what a 1620 is........but Beltronics and Escort design and build all of their own products. 1620 sounds more like a Whistler number to me. In any event Belscort products are not bought from some other supplier. That would indicate that Belscort is doing what Uniden used to do, buy something from Korea and put a Uniden label on it. That's not the case with Belscorts, like I said before those products are designed and built in the US/Canada.

Huge forums with lots and lots of threads can and did slow down the server. And the Bel/Escort forum was big enough that cutting it in half helped.

I know. I was just teasing, did not really want to bring up another discussion about the forums, sorry I did. ops: The forums are fine. I just find it funny how Escort supposedly now switched the hardware antenna just like the rx65 M4. :wink:
