    Default smoked plexiglass

I have my 9500ix mounted behind smoked plexiglass. Will that effect the performance vs clear and if so how much?

You tell us. You mounted it that way. Find a known radar source and move the detector and see what happens.

Yes. There are too many factors to predict just how much, but it will alter the range to at least some degree. If the glass has certain types of anti-reflective coatings, it can reduce range to the point in which the system is near useless.

It might affect laser detection, but it shouldn't affect radar detection unless the plexiglass is metallic or has metallic tint on it.
