gps on 9500ix
Where is the GPS antenna on the 9500ix? How much of the unit needs to be under the windshield? I want it as high on the windshield as I can get it. Will the mount block the pickup in any way? I am thinking of putting a small aluminum piece on the suction cup mount and use velcro for the mount. Will this be a problem with GPS pickup?

Put the 9500ix halfway on windshield.by doing that it will detect the gps

I think the antenna is top center of the unit.
I have mine just under the windshield tint and it works just fine.

Square metallic box is the GPS antenna. It doesn't necessarily need to have a clear view to the sky. Play around with mounting location and see how it does. Varies from car to car.
