Super cup mount and window dots

Does the Escort Super cup mount work on the window dots that some cars have? I would like to mount above my Mustang mirror but it has the dots. I used some 3M velcro and that worked fine in the winter but it was too hot in the summer here and I had to remove it.

I have been reading about some problems with the Escort Super cup mount failing when used in hot climate areas. I understand Escort reported that they were working on a fix. Does anyone know if these have been fixed or not?. I don't like the idea of a $500.00 RD dropping off the windshield and crashing into the floor or dash.

You gotta reapply it occasionally, but it lasted several weeks with my redline in the 110 degree TX heat.

3M Double sided tape is like millions of microscopic Hulks covering both sides of a little white strip.
That's what I'd try.
It holds my Cobra 29LX bracket to the side of the center console, passenger side in my '05 Mustang GT.
Heat, well, now that's something we'll just have to test.
Tie a short string from the RD to the rearview as kind of a backup safety harness
