Just got a card from Escort advertising something called
"Escort Live! The Ultimate Live Alert Network"
Seems to be a new Smartcord and a App for smartphones.
Anyone know anything about this?

nothing on their site yet..
sounds like they are coming up with a product in response to the icobra. good thing too, the icobra has a lot of potential, but its a cobra... i speculate that this new radar detector "accessory" will allow users to share their radar alerts in real time. giving us even more advance warning.
Edit: sorry, thats iradar, not icobra

I got this in the mail too, it is basically (from the looks of it) trapster for your smarphone.
It is a smartcord that wirelessly seems to transmit data from your alerting detector to other cars in the area (or to a satellite/central hub) which lets drivers around you know real-time what is going on in the area.
In other words trapster on your smartphone that connects to all Escort detectors in the area... when they alert, it alerts you as well to whats coming via your smartphone.
Pretty nifty, BUT the numbers are going to be the problem. It also seems like a subscription service.
In big cities this might work well, otherwise, seems pretty useless.

For those who didn't get the mail yet today:
Sorry for the quality, this was a hack job with an old camera-phone that I have the USB cable for.

Also in the Flyer the 9500IX now comes in Limited Editions: Gamer (neon green accents with green display), White Pearl AKA: Save the t*tties edition (Susan G. Comen Cure pink accents with looks like red display), Race (carbon fiber with Red accents and display).
Was gonna send my 9500i in to upgrade to 9500ix.
Now I'm gonna wait a few weeks maybe I'll get the new smartcord in the upgrade.
I should of said something sooner, I was thinking that they would be coming out with an answer to "iRadar" which I hear is mediocre at best.
