Default Live! ...is DEAD in my area!

Been using Live! in my area (Triad, NC) for a month now and there are minimal if any others in the area using it. This makes the value of the system really low to me.

Are more people using Live! in larger cities?

It seems like for a system like this to work well and be worthwhile to the user there would need to be a ton of people using it (and using it accurately).

Default The premise is great, but simply can not work

to me, this was a great idea but simply not workable. You're depending on 1. people having an escort detector 2. people having escort live 3. those same people regularly using the same roads as you. It is too fragmented a group to be effective. My suggestion would be to try Trapster...it's free and has a much bigger user base.

    You are right.
Without a ton of people using it,LIVE is not going to work well.
That is why you see Escort pitching it so hard, stick with it awhile and see if it takes off.

Considering this I should have just went with a V1 over the Redline (Live! was a big reason I got the Redline). At least when I go through VA I should be undetected with the Redline.

Live! cord for sale if anyone's interested. I've ordered the mutable hard wire kit and visor clip for a clean install.

Mike Valentine... Get off the golf course and make an undetectable, GPS V1 please!

I live in a 2 million people metro area and I turn live on from my house every day to see what's happening. I only saw 1 alert from a user out there in about 8 months of use. That's why it's sitting in my closet collecting dust

It's still a very new system and you guys have written it off, since you have unplugged your system and are not using it, there are numerous others probably complaining about the same issue. The way Live works is by everyone cooperating and running it together, if everyone gives up on the system and puts it in the closet, everyone else looses out.

Plug that **** back in and get reporting

I guess you have a point there lol. I will most likely get Live for the STir Plus and give it a real shot then. I don't use my Redline anymore so I can't really use it anyway.

Waze is also a good app for police. I live in the middle of no where and there are usually around 5 people around me using it.

Been using Escort Live for about six months, one for Redline and one for STI Magnum. This past weekend I traveled from N. VA to eastern NC and not a single user reported during the entire round trip. Living in the DC/MD/VA metro area you would think that I would see quite a few users, but I only see one user reporting from time to time. Escort also need to fix map orientation to allows users to select heading up as an option since it is a more realistic representation and adapt to the driver's spatial orientation. My EscortLive is going back on the shelf for now.

Don't forget that you can lockout false alerts on your X50 or RedLine when using Escort Live with it. This feature alone is worth the price for many.

The Escort Live nation is growing every day. It was designed to not issue outdated alerts with stale information (as the other free apps do) so this is also a big reason why you aren't seeing more alerts than you are.

Escort Live v2.0 is in the final stages of review and will be released soon for both platforms. This version will include a limited feature "free" version of the app for people to try. Once they see the potential of the system we think many will get a detector and become a full featured user/scout. Stay positive people, we are serious about Escort Live becoming the best live alert network available. It will just take a little time for it to become viral.

Escort Radar customer service is available from 8am-6pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri at 1-800-543-1608
