HI guys. I have a sad 9500i story to tell...
A couple of weeks ago, I got a speeding ticket coming home from camping.
A few kilometers and around 10 minutes before the incident, my 9500i and vision was able to alert me of a laser speed trap. This made me drive more cautious. However, even though I wasn't speeding, I made a big mistake by not performing a certain action, saving the speed trap on my 9500i gps memory. A mistake I already made two days ago...
A few kilometers later, I was caught at another speed trap. A speed trap that I already saw two days before on my way to camp...What a ****ty feeling....I should have saved the location...Darnt....
My 9500i didn't beep at all???? I was like, wtf?????? I removed the detector before I pulled in to the parking lot so the leo wouldn't see it.......
When I got home, I inspected it. At first I could hear something rattling inside. I was like, this sucks. Being a mechanic, I opened it. Inside I saw a big huge capacitor or something that sits right in the middle just below the clip area of the detector....It came of the board....
I think it broke just before I got tagged... What a bummer:-(
This really sucks, because I barely use it....
Does anyone know if the polarity have to be correct just incase I decide to solder the capacitor on by my self???If it is a capacitor???
