    Default The Sleeping Redline?

Just looking at some RD testing and behold, the Redline feel asleep on a 34.7 C/O and looks like a 35.5 C/O also? We have known there has been a major bug in the Redline failing to detect I/O and/or delaying to detect radar period by reports of users. I wonder if the problem is in the alg program dealing with two antennas? Because the other single antenna products do not act that way that we have seen reports of. When the Techs at Belscort find the problem and a fix, are they going to recall the units that have been sold and fix them for free? I feel bad for the fellow members that may have got un-called-for tickets due to the non-alarm-action(s) of the Redline. Or members who spent money sending their Redline in for repair or to be checked but nothing found to be wrong......

I believe it has something to do with the excessive filtering in the scanning receiver section that the design has to have to eliminate stray microwave radiation.

    or not. lol

X2. Agree! The only thing else that is different on the Redline is that it not detected by a RDD, besides the two antennas. The design to be immuned could be the problem. If they could take the unit and do way with the front end and match the IF section up with one of their regular RDs and test the unit that way and see if the problem shows up again, might narrow it down, black box it. The design maybe just to complex and they did not for see the out come....

That sounds like a busted unit. My Redline picks up the Delaware state police miles in advance and all they run is C/O 34.7. In about 2 weeks, maybe I'll grab some footage when I take a trip to the shore.

I sure you have a super unit for I have always looked into getting a Redline also. I glad your unit has been fail safe but no footage is needed. The testing groups are hounding Escort on this!.....

Even my old RX65 S7 does a great job picking up the 34.7. Are the Redline units that are being tested new? Maybe the newer units are having issues?

well as everyone knows the Redline is the King of Detectors and every other new detector is gunning for it's crown including the police. That would tire anyone out on occasion.

Good question? I started to post on what revisions does this sleeping mode happen on. I too wonder if the older units are ok, or a quality issue has showed up but it has got to be in the design. Maybe with age, the unit shifts in values to cause an issue? Who knows? But the slow filtered (non)response of the Redline has nagged testers. When tested, the Redline does not meet its standards letting them and me down, the super RD title that it is suppose to have stollen away from the V1 but has fail to delivery in I/O sample response and distance range, not the longest range RD. I wish Escort would fix this and do make a super RD for all of us, but it maybe Bel (the other side of this dual company) that does this....
