Probably not. This is going more into the Waze faze. IMO, it will all go to the sharing. Which is good and bad. Good for us that use and share. BAD, because to many dum asses are already on the phone.
THINK on this. NOW all the damn yuppie, cell phone talker, no attention paying assholes will get this and ...................
You're right, it expired about 3 years ago (Feb 2011), enough time to produce a new model with the famous "arrows" technology, obviously they are not interested in this stuff and that's not just for now, in the future as well. Unless they get bombarded by thousands of RD enthusiasts demanding them to come-up with one new model incorporating the "arrows" technology as well.
Time will tell...
my valentine is irritating me with all the new false alarms (previous 9500ix owner) but until escort gets those arrows i just cant make the switch. i need to know where its coming from on those nights i go cruise with my friends.
Escort has dismissed arrows as gimmicks, while I find them essential. This said by one who also runs a RL or Max with EL.
It should be easy to do with the displays they have. They already display an arrow for red light cameras (on the 9500ix).
What I have learn is if you purchase the V1 before any other detector in your radar detector life cycle you will always miss the arrows and will always want a radar detector with arrows. My first radar detector I have ever own was a V1 my second was BEL STIR with a combo with my V1. I have to admit the arrows are huge to try to find the target of where the radar is coming from. Now at this moment I only have the Redline and every time I get a detection I have to look ahead on the side or in the back of me. The V1 I would know right away where the source is coming from. The funny thing is all the compliance about Escort building a radar detector with arrows are from previous or present V1 owners. If you never owned a V1 before more than likely you wouldn't care if they made a radar detector with arrows or not.

Escort should put out a Light HD model. Nothing but 3 colored lights and a buzzer. Green to mash gas, yellow to let off of gas, and red light/buzzer to slam on the brakes all for $59.00. Who needs arrows!......
