how do you get the scanning dot? i've heard about it, but dont know where to find it
1)Press both top buttons and hold them....'Program' will appear... release the buttons
2) Then press the top right button once it should say 'Pilot HWY'... release it. EDIT: The "top right button" meaning the if you where the detector... so for the programmer (you) you have to hit the left button.
3)Keep pressing the button on the top left button(to the detector... the top right button to you the programmer) until the display shows: "H.->" sort of thing. This will show you your mode (H=Highway)(A=Auto)(C=City) with the scanning dot running below it...wait 8 seconds... it will Beep, and then viola... you have the: Coolest feature ever on a radar detector.
