    Default Non Bias testing!

    Ok,

Here is where I have just a small problem, I have to say GOL's testing of radar detectors, is definetly Non-Bias, because Craig Peterson, (SORRY CRAIG) testing of the Bel STI shows it being a much better performer than the Valentineone on both around curves and on straight roads in Ka and K bands... This is not true, because Now that I know Craig is on "beltronics payroll", (SORRY AGAIN Craig) is why he favors Bel over V1. If Beltronics paid me good enough, I would probably say the Bel smokes the V1 in every test. Who wouldn't!!! but true testing is not having a favorite over another. True testing is GOL!!! its such a shame that beltronics has to pay off people like craig and carl fors at speedzones to put the Bel ahead of the V1. Anyone want to give feed back on this? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Default A challenge is what I'm smelling :)

Anybody think craig is up to this challenge? GOL would setup the testing ground. This test between me and craig. My V1 versus Craigs Bel STi. A all around test of full range, and around the curve test on both Ka,K and X bands. The winner gets the other persons radar detector!!!!!! Maybe I should give my buddy craig a call, See what he thinks. Just a friendly bet thats all :)

Last year's SML tests were a joke. Of course, they did flunk just one or two radar detector models to give the appearance of some modicum of credibility with regards to their test procedures. What was just as funny were all of the typos and grammar errors throughout their report. There were also some errors in their tabulated results as well. What was also astonishing is how poorly the filter tests were performed. They weren't even familiar enough with each radar detector's selectable features in order to select the proper operating modes on each radar detector for the filter tests. I wonder if SML spent more time shooting photos of the girl models for marketing and merchandising purposes rather than performing the actual tests!

Default Its amazing what people do for $$$$

Its amazing what people do for money, isn't it. I use to think speedzones was a non-bias testing site. Not anymore. Give a cop money and he will make even the mighty V1 look like a cobra.

Who needs published test results? Simply go by "the word on the street" and you will be OK.

Back about a year ago when I was searching for the best RD I came across Craig Peterson's article about the Bel STi vs the V1. So, naturally I bought the STi. I still have it, but I am probably going to get a V1.

The STi is still one of the top three detectors, but CP's test results are laughable.
