correct....you have the windshield covering the Valentine one radar up and the remote mounted 9500ci has nothing standing in its way....
Only problem I see with the 9500ci given the results shown...is the reliability of it...given there is nothing protecting it...such as a windshield....it is exposed to all kinds of road materials that can hit it and damage the lens.....so whats to say after 6 months....the performance results would be different given the factor of wear and tear and the direct heat hitting the sensor constantly.

Yes, the V1 was trumped by the 9500ci, but the V1 is a stand-alone in-vehicle detector, not a dedicated remote-mount/integrated device, like the 9500ci.
The two belong in different categories.
Apples to oranges.
Very True, but because the V1 has solely held the #1 in sensitivity since there start it should be compared, if there was anything else that came close it would be a different story. Its only an expectable comparison because its the only unit that comes close to the CI's sensitivity. The V1 even had the advantage of being mounted high and the CI still trumped it.
What made my day is when I learned the 9500CI does not have to be mounted up high in the cabin to get great performance. Being mine trumped ole HappyA$$'s on K band

Huh? .... they are both radar detectors .... the V1 is no longer the performance standard for radar detection
9500CI & STI-R - 9500CI Low Middle running K and Ka and STI-R Roof Mounted running 35.5 Ka only.
LASER INTERCEPTOR Mounted low left and right of 9500ci.
Starter Kill Switch - Finished, Computer Coded 4 Digit Imobilizer. Embeded into car computer system. Will Crank But won't start. And if wrong code is entered 3 times alarm will go off
I mentioned in another thread that I think that Happya$$'s Pro78 may be a bit out of whack. It should have had about 40% more range on 34.7 Ka band.

Remember guys, there still is a rumor going around about a new offering from V1 in the near future....
Rumors don't impress me, Results DO!
Until VR actually comes out with something new... I'm not going to do much but *Yawn*... They have 'rested' on their arrows long enough at VR. Now its time to see something from them...
With that said... the last time I got my V1 back from VR, it was BLAZING. I would have loved to have seen what it could have done at the testing.
