I was so excited by the laser results I never did scroll down, so the V1 got pwned????? I am not surprised.
^ I really don't think it should be framed that way.
Yes, the V1 was trumped by the 9500ci, but the V1 is a stand-alone in-vehicle detector, not a dedicated remote-mount/integrated device, like the 9500ci.
The two belong in different categories.
Apples to oranges.

the biggest surprise i see is how poorly the much daunted pro 78 rev c did in comparison. i know its not fair to compare it to the 2 units in the test but that wasnt even close to being in the top dog category. i know everybody is gonna come back with the value perspective but in some instances it didnt even alert.

correct....you have the windshield covering the Valentine one radar up and the remote mounted 9500ci has nothing standing in its way....
Only problem I see with the 9500ci given the results shown...is the reliability of it...given there is nothing protecting it...such as a windshield....it is exposed to all kinds of road materials that can hit it and damage the lens.....so whats to say after 6 months....the performance results would be different given the factor of wear and tear and the direct heat hitting the sensor constantly.

It by no means has a lead on the DB count.
But seriously, reverse K band angled up with nearly nothing to reflect?
That is not an everyday encounter.
V1 and 9500ci are to Laser Interceptor as the Laser Mask and Blinder are to the Pro 78.
LI is for not your everday encounter, worse case scenarios.
The former are for normal encounters.
You are right though, I was disapointed slightly in the results.
In the worst cases of IO, I trust me CB over my RD anyday on the highway, and always my rabbit.
The Pro 78 is still by far the best bang for your buck.
