Ok, I noticed in the latest 2008 test LI seemed to score the best and at the same time the manufacture was also on site.
Why was LI there if this was a private unbiased test? Seems strange to me that no other manufacture was invited yet LI was there and there unit tested to be the best?

Did you read the whole page where the results are posted?
Yes, I read it.. "Laser Interceptor reps installed some rear heads that they brought with them"
But why were they even there is my question? Why would only one manufacture be invited.... In my opinion none should be there if you want completely unbiased results.
"this marks the first time we have used non-US laser guns in a test, which should be of particular interest to our overseas readers. But in order to get them, we had to make a compromise: allowing manufacturer reps at the test, since we didn't originally intend to allow any manufacturer reps to be present. The owner of the guns was Laser Interceptor, and we had to allow the reps at the test watch over their expensive equipment."

Unless I am the only one doesn't this seem wrong? You are getting the laser guns from the same source that is also involved in having their own jammers tested.
How do you know these guns were not tweeked from them to give their jammer an edge? I truely believed you guys were completely unbiased but using equipment from a Jammer Supplier makes me think twice about the results.

I think the most important thing to keep in mind is that the LI was a blind purchase just like the rest of the units. The GOL event only confirmed what other testing groups have already reported about the performance of the LI. I think the ability for them to test with European guns far outweighs any negatives here. Especially since these European guns are so much more expensive and advanced compared to the American guns.

That is exactly the reason why we disclose everything, and let the reader decide what to think. We don't make or lose money based on whether or not people read or believe our results. So if someone doesn't like the way we tested, or they don't believe our results for whatever reason, they are of course free to completely ignore our tests and make their buying decisions based on whatever set of criteria makes them feel comfortable.
We take pride in our tests, and we do the very best we can. But the fact of the matter is we'll never be able to please everyone.
