search for posts in this section by Suf Daddy.

91 in a 65 is going to be very hard to beat.

You should fight it, good chance they will reduce it, but unlikely they will drop it. They usually don't in MA.

Correct. They may reduce it to 75 in a 65 with a $100 reduction. They will not drop it.

I read how you won, great job. it still is going to be hard unless he catches a break like you did with the officer not being prepared.

even if he gets it reduced it still goes on his record. not saying it can't be done just that it will be harder with a speed of 91 and not saying he shouldn't fight it he should. I fought every ticket I got in MA when I lived there.

Fight this, and fight to win, because if you get anything at all your screwed. If I were you HIRE A LAWYER, they passed those ridiculous MA laws for under 18 drivers while I was under 18, and I had to drive for 2 months under threat of them, so I basically stayed off the road (it was summer). It will cost you alot more in aggrevation and money if you lose this case, then to just hire a lawyer.

Just to make everyone else aware of what he's looking at for getting ONE ticket under 18 in MA-

90 day suspension
Driver Attitudinal Retraining Course
$500 reinstatement fee
Full Exam (again)
+all of the above going on ones record

A lawyer seems to run around $350 and gives you a FAR better chance of winning, I think the choice is obvious especially considering the speed you were "clocked at".....

We live in the land of the free alright.....

Thanks tosi...I am now never driving through MA again. LOL

(Nah, I'm over 18, but even suffering half those penalties for >18 would keep me away.)

Wow!!! I am glad those laws were not in place when I was younger because I would have been doing a lot of walking.
