Just wanted to let you know my Cobra Radar Detector Taken & Large Fine Please Help!! Just a cheap Detector don't mind loosing that but the fine of $394.50 Canadian which is about the same and American money now is crazy. The LEO's car was parked on a medium on a divided highway facing the opposite way when he turned around and flashed his lights I could see the spectre unit in his from window. But get this I take my detector of my windshield and put it under my seat. The LEO comes to my passenger side window. I role down my window and he reaches in my car with out saying anything, grabs the cord of my Cobra and yanks the unit out of my car. Then with out even knowing for sure what he has in his hand has he is taking my Cobra. Goes back to car and writes me this huge fine. I guess my question is shouldn't he of had to at least to tell me what I was under supichous of before violating my privacy . Is the suspicision of owing a radar dectator warrant him doing what he did. Any help please, these LEO's are getting on my nerves.
