    Default Laser Victim....

I've joined your site in the hope of furthering my knowledge regarding radar and laser jamming.

I have currently been using a Beltronics XR950 radar detector for the last few years, and it has done me proud. however i have been nailed by laser's twice in the last month, so i need to sort out a laser jamming system for both a car and a bike.

I need to trawl through this forum to find something suitable, but i know i want to have everything hard wired, on both my car and my motorbike, with both front and rear facing laser jammers.

If anyone has any previous forums that may be related i would be interested to read them.

    Cheers

    Welcome to the boards.

What kind of car and what kinds of bike? (Pictures would ALWAYS help, whenever you can post 'em)

My personal setup is a Laser Interceptor, Passport 9500ci and a V1 on a car. I think LI on a bike has been done by several people here.

    Good luck!

The best jammer is the Laser Interceptor, the best detector is the 9500ci.

It just matters how much money you are willing to spend for jammers and which vehicle you have. LI's, ZR3's, and Blinders have all been proven to work, all at a different price range.

Is there an integrated jammer and detector? It seems to me that jammers should be able to work as detectors, and combining them would benefit users (they don't have to install two things separately).

Two separate threats. For radar, you want to detect; it is illegal (at a federal level) to jam police radar. For laser, you want to detect and jam (where still not illegal). Each threat operates on vastly different wavelengths and requires separate receiver devices.

There are units on the market that combine both functionalities, like the 9500ci. These devices have a separate radar receiver and laser transceiver and usually combine alerts in a single console.

Umm...we should first ask Chopn Change if laser jammers are illegal to use in his state.
