    Default Hi I'm RadarFraud

Otherwise known as RadarKid, or RK, or Almost Banned.
This intro is more for new users than anyone else who's already (understandably) bored to death with the situation. When you read the diareah that comes out of a specific users mouth, take it with a grain of salt, and at least know the real situation before jumping on the bandwagon.

The phrase RadarFraud came about when pompous RD.net user DJRAMS80 thought he caught me in some elaborate lie.

The lie he thought he caught me in was due to the fact that I have been extremely open about my experiences with the Escort 9500i series. When I first got it, I believed the hype about how safe the lockout feature was. Both due to specific lies from the Escort Co on the phone and via email, as well as users on this forum who played down the risk (and continue to do so).

Back to the TRUE story...I was psyched when I got it since I live in an an area with LOTS of K band falses, and primarily K band LEO's. Over time it proved in multiple situations to lockout real LEO radar regardless of how close I followed the recommendations of users on this forum to "cut down on the lockout radius" (none of which landed me a ticket luckily, due to the fact that I always was somewhat skeptical of its reliability).

After 2 of these close calls, I blatantly stated on this forum that I was "Done With TrueLock." At which time, I went and manually unlocked my lockout areas. I did not shut off the GPS feature.

After time passed I realized in at least 2 other occasions that I'd failed to unlock separate lockout areas, and experienced LEO lockouts in those as well. I noticed this by seeing the LEO's with my own eyes, looking at the 9500i wondering why it wasnt alerting, and noticing a spinning icon at the times.

When I reported these additional lockouts, Mr DJRAMS80 thought he caught me in some outright "lie" in an effort to give Escort a bad name. He spent more time than anyone with a life could spend and copied and pasted links from my various posts, because he was quite confident he'd caught me red handed. Unfortunately, he failed to realize that I had only unlocked the lockouts (therefore making it possible to forget 2 lockout areas) as opposed to shutting off the GPS feature. Even though this has been explained to him, he continues to hold on to the weak claim that I am a liar and therefore have no credibility. Much like the lame claim that the 9500i was too high tech for me to understand how to use correctly...which was his explaination when I first started reporting faults with it. Over time, MANY others have come out of the wood work reporting the same results I have in the past...and he continues to repeat himself like a broken record, that "there's been no reported cases of tickets resulting" as if in some way that made it OK that us radar fanatics had experienced lockouts of real police radar. Mr DJRAMS80 fails to realize that this board is only a tiny percentage of the countries radar detector users, and we're also glued to our detectors - which would therefore make it hard to NOT notice lockouts ourselves. The greater percentage of radar users are completely unaware of "lockouts" and probably have received tickets without the slightest clue that the GPS feature locked it out...and those that did don't post on this forum.

So instead, HE (and just a few others) continues to make excuses for its failure.....the lies the company tells to sell it, and downplay the real risk it presents. All of you reading his excuses and blind approval of this feature, keep in mind he lives in an area with only Ka band and Laser LEO's and therefore rarely see's situations where a lockout could even happen.

There you have it....my honesty about a product that has proven to fail at the claims made by it...must make me a liar.

I'm sure he'll reply to this post with more BS...and it'll just further his pompous reputation on this forum. I appreciate the private messages I get from users thanking me for the honesty, and calling others out for the FRAUDS they really are. Some people appreciate my honesty.

BTW - I love my V1, and I'm still a huge fan of nonGPS Escort detectors

    Peace

PS - Lots of respect to users like MEM-TEK, happy@$$, etc. that although our opinions differ from time to time, they have proven to be after the objective truth and continue to prove they are reliable sources of information.

Especially when they have 1800 post since may and have banned under their name and come in with post every so often to stir up **** when it dies down.

RadarFraud is a liar and a fake, straight up. He tried to sensationalize his story to make a point. That's a fact. He's earned his RadarFraud title. I buried him with his own posts, proving that he is what he is, a liar, and there is no mistake about that. This guy comes on here bashing TrueLock every chance he gets, but wants us to believe that it somehow slipped his mind until months later that he's had several other total lockouts? It didn't happen. I know it, he knows it, and anyone that's been following his TrueLock bashing tirade knows it.

He's also constantly posting about this overwhelming support he has via PM, yet when he tried to quote one of them, the author of that particular PM felt compelled to come out and show us how RadarFraud had taken his PM completely out of context. The PM turned out to be more of a "hey, chill out" type of thing and not a "hey, I support you" type of thing as it was presented to us by RadarFraud, which was made completely obvious when the author of that PM showed us the unchoppped version.

The morale of this whole story is this forum is about us consumers posting our experiences, both good and bad, so that we can sift through the manufacturer's BS and get what works best for our situation. Those that make things up are bad for this community.
