I live in the South Bay Area and work very close to Stanford University, an area that is notorious for aggressive ticketing practices by both city police and CHP.
And an area that appears to be jumping on the LIDAR bandwagon.
In just the few months since I started my job in this area, I have seen a noticeable increase in the number of poor folks that I pass, pulled over, each morning on my way to work.
Then my boyfriend got ticketed under some circumstances, which I will post in the appropriate thread. That got me punching the word LIDAR in my trusty Google search box and several pages and links later, I landed here.
The court system in this and nearby counties is a pure and simple "battle of wits" and you can't fight such a battle unless you're sufficiently "armed".
This forum looks like a good place to begin "arming" oneself with the knowledge and understanding required to win in any court around here!
