    Default New here

For some strange reason my wife is now obsessed with buying me a radar detector and I am not complaining. I guess after years of putting up with my car obsession she has just given in. I have done a lot of research on the web but it seems there is no single place that give an unbiased review on all of the products out there.

For years I always thought I would always just get a V1 and call it a day but i hate how all windshield mounts look and thats why i never bought one before.

I have a chance to get a "the devil" system for a killer deal and I love the "stealth" look but if it doesn't work well then I guess its not really worth it.

Anyone live in south carolina, if i do get the "the devil" system i would love to test it if theres a local group.

    Hi Misterblaze,

Please immediately edit your post and remove the reference to the unmentionable product name. See Rule #1. Second, that system's performance doesn't stack up very well compared to Escort's 9500ci. While most of us here take Craig Peterson's reviews with a grain of salt, in this case he actually did write an accurate review:

    Escort Passport 9500ci versus ...

Lets start over, so what systems do most people use (that are not the devil) for lidar defense? I am no crazy speeder but i do drive around 30k miles per year for work and the police around me are getting unreasonable.

He he. Well, first of all, we need to know what car model and car color you have. It sounds like you would like a setup that is remote installed and concealed. Also, do you occasionally drive through VA where radar detectors are illegal?

9500ci, STI-R, does radar and Laser the others you will need to buy a Radar detector.

The 9500ci and STi-R are remote models which are completely undetectable by all radar detector detectors (RDDs) such as VG-2 and all Spectre models. These remote models also happen to, at present, have absolutely the best overall radar detection performance compared to any radar detector model offered by any manufacturer.
