It's just the original "thicker case" V-1. When Valentine first introduced his detector, laser detection was optional; I believe an extra $50 over the basic V-1. Anyway, the cases were thicker to accomodate the laser detection circuitry. Later units came w/ laser standard and the "thin case" went away for a few years. V1's for the last several years have been able to combine the laser detection circuitry into the original non-laser "thin cases".

No jammer yet. I travel the lower half of s.jersey (295) and the state police run X band and township police use mostly Ka @ 35.5. I was looking into a set up for my C5 'Vette but decided to save for a C6 Z-06...then I became a statistic of the economy so everything is on hold!

    Just outside of Wilmington.
I go to Rehoboth about 3x per year for the outlets, board walk and to stock up on hot sauces at Peppers.
    Q) Did you have any problems installing jammers on your C6 'Vette? I have a C5 and wasn't sure how they would attach without marring the car.

No problem at all. Just used the 3M double sticky molding tape to mount a couple piece of aluminum angle. I then attached the heads to that angle.
