Thread: Greetings...

    Default Greetings...

I have had several Escort Passport Radar Detectors. I have a good buddy of mine that has an 8500 old like 10 years old. It gets the best radar detection I have ever seen. Like one beeps a mile out.

I just had a 9500ix and it was not that sensative. Would have cops that the radar coverage alert would all of sudden jump up on me once they were in site.

It was awesome as far as being quiet. By far thee quietest radar detector I have ever used. Awesome in that way.

Im thinking of trying a V1 so I can get some awesome performance out of it.

I cant justify spending 1600.00 on the 9500ci however.

Any thoughts on this? Are the V1 range that much better than the 9500 series?

    Thank you

The frequency of the radar signal makes coverage alert jump all the sudden. In your case, you probably encountered 35.5 which climbs very fast. If you want the radar reception of the 9500ci, then go for a redline. It will be noisy. The v1 range is a little better than 9500ix. The v1 really stands out because it can pick up very fast shots of radar.
