Welcome, you are lucky you got out of Indiana it sucks especially in the winter. Charlotte is a pretty decent town with a good climate.

NC/TN can get pretty cold (especially the higher elevations) and unlike AL/GA we do usually measurable snowfall in the winter. Not as much as Indiana obviously but if you come down in January in shorts and a golf polo you're going to be unpleasantly surprised.

It's got to be better than snow in and ice and no sunshine for 4 months in South Bend. I do have to admit the summers are nice because it's only 80 miles to Chicago and 30 miles from the lake, lots of stuff around to do. But man I would kill to get a job in Florida before the winter comes again.

Oh yeah, its definitely better. Our winter temperatures/snow only last 3-4 months. By late March and April it starts warming up into the 60s and 70s. You guys on the other hand I know can get snow April and get probably 5 times as much as we do in a given winter. IDK Nashville may be a little farther north than Charlotte so I don't know if it's the same there.

the weather?!?! tell me about it!

i'm from indianapolis, so it was never as harsh as the winters in south bend (aka south canada! LOL). in charlotte, the winters are great. now, it DOES get pretty nasty up near the mountains (boone, asheville, hickory) but i love it in charlotte.

i never even broke out my winter coats last winter! i may have to sell em on craigslist. charlotte's idea of cold is like late april in indiana. LOL

    i'm never goin back!

Charlotte is a beautiful city also. Charlotte seems to get more ice than snow from what I have seen in past years, but not enough to even compare to Indy.
