Just joined, been a fan of GOL and been looking through the forums for a few months. I recently purchased a V1 (got rid of my POS cobra) and I'm looking into laser defense on my car now. Any suggestions?? I drive a blue 2003 Mustang GT. Thanks.

Welocome to the forum, for laser defense I would go with LI or Blinder. Also I think they have some photo enforcement in your state, might want to check out the Cheetah C50 or Cheetah GPS mirror.

Actually welcome aboard, DJ loves you already. The new Blinder series is showing great promise and of course there is Laser Interceptor that's the best on the market right now.

It depends on how much you want to spend, but those are the 2 I would consider.

Nice, I was looking into LI online and I see mixed reviews, many people say it's a piece of garbage while others say it's amazing...anyone have any personal saves from the LI? I also heard good things on the Blinder, I hope GOL has another laser test coming soon. As far as photo enforcement goes, no where I travel has it yet but as of October 1, 2009 they can install them anywhere so I will need protection on that as well. Thanks again.

There is only one place on the Internet you'll find anyone saying that, and it's no coincidence they were trying to sell a competing jammer. Nuff said. LI is second to none in both performance and customer service. Check the FAQ in the Laser Jammer section for more info.

Damn thats exactly what I needed to see thanks for those videos category. Anyone else have any good videos from the LI saving them? Thanks for that forum stealth that helped a lot. On my mustang do you think with a V1 and LI i should be safe from laser encounters? Let me know.

I-95 in Maryland is the reason I got into this hobby. I would go with a dual LI for laser on the front. Until you see them starting to shoot to the rear, which in my time I didn't see it but once or twice. Even then it was in heavy traffic.

Stick to the far right lane, and just blend. I found most of the time I could shoot up the right lane undetected, and if and when I did come upon a speed trap you could just coast down and it looked like everyone was flying past you. The only time I got hit with laser in the far right lane, was on a weird winter night at 2am with just me on the road. Since there was the threat of black ice I had no intentions of speeding in a TransAm. But they are ruthless.
