    Talking Hello radar folks

My story seems to be the same as most people around here, i got picked on by cops and now i want to even the playing field. I bought a motorcycle because riding runs in the family, and I didn't have money for inurence after I landed two whopping tickets. One was rushing to work and another time to visit my grandfather in the hospital, no warning either time. Then I actually lost my license for driving "eratically". I apparently got too close to a car while i was just making a regular old left turn. The cop hates motorcycles. Plus i've pulled down a couple tickets when i was going like 4 over and they hit me with 6 mph over tickets. I find that stuff really petty and obnoxious. As you can tell, my town frowns on motorcycles, apparently we're all a bunch of punk kids.

Anywho, since i had time with no license to fix the bike up a bit I've added a passport 8500 X50, integrated with a HUD unit to my helmet, along with Viel coating on my headlight. I also added a flip up license plate and the ability to run my bike completely dark (no lights), along with night vision capable video cameras showing me a view directly behind the bike so I don't have to turn around to look. Now I'm looking into a LaserStar Jammer, I hear they are pretty good, but I'm definately open to suggestions. I'm trying to get ideas on how to make my bike as invisable as possible.

I look forward to meeting the people around here, and hopefully being able to contribute eventually.

Welcome to the forum. For a RD you prob need to look into A higher RD like the V1, sti, 9500ix .......

As for jammers Look into the LI or the Blinders......And do not pay attention to any other website.

Welcome to the forum. Stay away from Laser Star!!! It is garbage. Go with LI or Blinder.

Sounds like a nice setup you have, you should post pictures in the install section (would be interested in seeing the plate). And I second the call for blinders or LI, there are a lot of other sites out there just trying to sell their stuff and not caring about actual effectiveness.

So you guys think that I should up the detection ante? I guess I need recs then, I'm looking to spend under $250, but I mean ebay price, not bestbuy price. I hardly ever buy this stuff brand new. I'll def look into other laser jammers, thanks for the warning about laser star.
I get my bike back hopefully this week, and I will have to reinstall everything, so I'll most definitely take pictures and post them up here if it would help anybody. The whole set up cost me like 5-10 bucks.

If you are looking for a good RD under $250, then go with the refurb Escort 8500.

I don't necessarily agree. If you are on a tight budget then it is not worth the difference in raw detection to purchase a V1 or STi. Certainly not a 9500ix since they use the exact same radar antenna. Go get jammers before you drop $400+ on a RD that replaces one that's perfectly fine.

I wasnt aware of the tight budget. I assumed that he already invested quite a bit on the X50,so i would suggest the V1, sti...... I would also recommend spending the money on the jammers before you upgrade on the RD since your planning on sending it in to escorts for a tune up. It should be brand spanking new when u get it back...

Well i fail. I thought i had an X50, since I did the first time, but the one i have now is just an 8500. so, for my budget, is it still worth the 90 bucks to have it refurb'd? Would the X50 be a vast improvement?
