hide it so it can't be seen and don't touch your brakes if the STi suddenly jumps from no alert to full alert. Do that and you shouldn't get caught using it.

Welcome to the forum. I would mount the STi as high as you can on your winshield behind your tint strip. Another thing you could do is put it in a tissue box on top of your dash and cut holes so that the radar antenna and the buttons of the sti are visible.
