Hello from canada. Got a ticket the other day and my detector did go off escort 8500 x50 but I ignored it because it keeps beeping off laser when there's nothing around. Then when the thing was right I get the dam ticket. err.

I will post my questions on the escort area.

Well don't feel too bad because when it started beeping and yelling Laser it was telling you to get your checkbook out. Read up on how laser works.
