new to this forum and new ot the radar world. can anyone define the word radar? i always thought radar is the cops radio communication. or is it the laser detector? im sorry i got got it all twisted!

The term RADAR as I recall is an acronym that involved range and direction via radio waves... If I can find the actual definition I will post it back here...
Here it is straight from wiki...
The term RADAR was coined in 1940 by the U.S. Navy as an acronym for RAdio Detection And Ranging
