The RX75 and the V1 aren't even in the same league, definitely go with the V1.

Ok, I know being cheap with a radar isnt good idea... the one I have bid on ebay was a v1.8 pop2 euro also version and the serial number is 4622480827...is this 3.872 version or later model anybody help? there is 2 hours left on the auction and it is at $265 right now & 5 dollars shipping is it worth it or just get a new v1? I appreciate every ones help and heads up on this !
I'm going to have to disagree with everyone here. A good RD and a mediocre laser jammer offers better overall protection than a great RD and no laser jammers.

I use to own the RX75 and its a great radar and the zr3 they came with have saved me in the past. For the price, I rather go V1 and save the other 100 bones towards an awesome jammer. Personally I feel the V1 + LI combo is the best money can buy and cheaper than the 9500CI. I would only get the RX75 if your area is high in theft or you can get it for 300 bones.
Yeah I did not buy the used v1 although it did go really cheap "270", I'm still trying decide if I want to buy brand new"400" plus shipping $445 to get the warranty or go used and get a 3.872 for $350 used with out warranty......For those who have had a v1 for a substantial amount of time..if i was to purchase an older model say 3.826 will I run into alot of returning for a "retune" or any type of problems were i have to send back to valentine for them to service...Basically I know v1 is great radar but is it durable and reliable I i dont buy brand new?

The V1 is notoriously unreliable. Older versions have to be sent in every couple of years on average for repairs. The newer versions do seem much more reliable, although the latest version has only been around for about a year, so it's a little early to make a difinitive statement.
