Great site, I never realized that radar detectors generated such a knowledgable following!! I actually recently purchased the Escort 9500ix, but after doing some reading, I'm not sure if I shouldn't have purchased a Redline. In any case, I plan to trial the 9500ix for 30 days. My driving is about 50/50 city and highway.

Hahaha, I hope everyone starts referring to Virginia as Hellginia. Yeah if you speed in VA keep it under 90 no matter what and get an undetectable RD. Over 90 = jail. All jokes aside.

I live in Harford County and work in Woodlawn, so I regularly travel I95, 695 in either direction (Key Bridge east, or Towson west side) depending on the traffic reports. For around town driving, I'm often beating around Bel Air and Fallston mostly. I also head out to White Marsh, Perry Hall and Baltimore on a less frequent basis.

    Thanks for any advice.

Just last year, I was victim of identity theft (Newport News, VA) due to some guy presenting no identification, and offering my identity information somehow. The Newport News police actually accepted this information and eventually sent warrants to me for failing to appear iin court. So I had to prove it wasn't me by presenting sign-in sheets from the office, and proving that my race was different than the person they pulled over. It was a mess but got straightened out.

Staying under 90 should be no problem (2010 Toyota 4Runner), heh heh.
