Cops have radar we have radar detectors.

Give us a little info to help, type of driving you do, what's your budget, etc.

refurb Escort 8500 from Escort sold on fleabay. Don't forget about laser protection too. A radar detector will NOT protect you from laser.

Forget about laser for the moment. Get fitted with a radar detector first.

There's nothing 'affordable' for LIDAR protection, but a lot of things come into play, like where you live, where you drive, what kind of vehicle you are trying to protect.
Again, hard to speculate unless we have more info (the stuff I just asked about).

    BTW, Welcome to the club.

Well when you factor the cost of a ticket and the associated insurance costs....what is affordable is your choice.

Check out laser interceptor and blinder. Both are offered on Radarbusters.

Radar uses radio waves to measure your speed.
Lidar uses light (a laser) to meaure your speed.

Lidar emissions can be detected by your radar detector, but by the time you detect it, your speed has already been measured.

Well i live in Houston texas... just a normal driver that sometimes speed just not ALOT i guess... just mainly driving to go to work/school/gym/home that's all.
Driving a 2010 Red Nissan Altima 2.5s coupe. Most of the roads i drive is pretty like main roads with alotta intersections. SO is not like some small road and im often on the highways as well

Well yea... i only got limited amount of money i can spend because i needa deal with the ticket and get a radar... because i figure i'd probably get in more trouble in the future so im trying to spend within my budget...

So... does most of the cop cars uses laser? or radar o.O?
