Default Hey, CT/LI new guy here!

Long time lurker, just decided to join. Live in CT whenever I can, go to school in Stony Brook on Long Island. I drive an '04 Accord V6, and I have an Escort 8500. Looks like I'll be upgrading to a redline soon! Anyone here from the SBU area or even anyone who goes there?

The Redline is a beast of an RD = Good choice. Make sure to look into some jammers because your CM setup will incomplete w/out one.

Thanks, Yeah I've been looking at the M27 lately, looks like blinder is selling their test units on ebay right now for 350. Might have to go for that. College budget, but in my area, laser is a huge problem, so I think it's a worthwhile investment for me.

Welcome to the forum and I would look on this site for there sponser that is selling them here. Also you might want to do more search because the M27 might not protect you. What kind of car you have?

Welcome. If you look on slickdeals' website, there is a coupon for the LI system. Just ordered mine for $539 out the door.

I am also in the CT area and have gotten snagged badly once with Laser (despite having V1). Last time that will happen.

'04 accord. The front is rather small so I think the front should be good, but I am worried about the big backside and the tendency of the local police to shoot from behind.

If you travel on LI, you will definitely want laser protection. It is used on most major roads. It has been reported that Stony Brook University police are using laser now for speed enforcement, even on Nicolls Road.
