Welcome aboard. You should also look at active lidar countermeasures. Veil is a great product, but by itself will not save you. Be careful driving in NC, speeding laws are draconian there.

Agree w/thx1138 NC is hell on wheels concerning speed enforcement methods as I'm sure your well aware. They throw everything but the kitchen sink concerning speed enforcement, get you some top notch CM's and definitely don't forgot about one of (if not the most) the most important CM you have, your eyes w/the situational awareness.

I would go and buy some jammers but i just spent $500 on a Passport 9500ix so i was going to wait a few weeks and then buy veil g4 so i have that extra 2-3 seconds to slam on brakes when my passport alerts me .

My dad has a old Cobra Xrs-9930 and he was driving and i heard LASER alert but he was only going 3 over but the cop was at the top of the hill, thats the only time in 4 years ive ever has laser alert, typically they're only on the highway with laser city is radar which gives me time to slow down. I know veil by it self wont save me thats why my Escort passport 9500ix is arriving via fedex 2nd day air today !

If you saw the Amazon sale it would have been cheaper :/

Anyways, welcome to the forum. Personally, I would have bought a V1 and at least 2 heads for the front. There's a few members here from NC and it consists of K, Ka and laser from what I've seen. A lot of instant on as well and they hide in VERY good spots.

got my 9500ix from radarbusters.com today, used it in the Scion XA on the way to work and not 1 false alert, when i went to work driving with my brother (we work the same job somedays) his cobra xrs-9940 always false alerts in 3 areas, i was impressed, quiet the whole ride there and back except for the ambulance that i had to move over @ the red light for i got a Emergency vechile approaching alert and i think it is a good feature. as for north carolina there isnt too many leo in the city but when there is they are determined to catch somebody. anyways i will update once i get my real car. thanks.

If you don't see lidar enforcement I understand the desire to wait for jammers. If you are being targeted from far distances, Veil may help you. But up at close range where a majority of lidar shots occur you need active jamming. Every time I've been hit is always been sub 1000ft. A few were around 300ft. The laser ticket I received a few years ago was at 700 ft. That is what prompted me to find this forum.
