Default Hello Brothers from So. Cal!

My name is John and I am new to the great forum. I live in Carlsbad, Ca. I did some good reading here and decided to sign up. I used to have a Bel65 owner. I sent it in as a trade in for my Escort8500X50 red. My Bel was about 4 years old and the last time I used it I got a ticket in Oceanside. I got the Escort 8500X50 after reading here and talking to a brother on our Dolphins fan web site. Getting ready for trip to Vegas here shortly and I didn't want to attract any extra attention.

The Escort X50 is a fine RD it should serve you well for Radar Detection purposes, make sure to check out the Laser Jammer section when able, there is allot of awesome/informative info in there. Another thing to think about is a CB radio, that by itself can give you many many saves.

    Welcome to our forum

Thanks bro. Maybe in the future if I do more traveling. When the misses asks where did that come from. Oh it is an old RD I had you remember. I used to have a Cobra CB radio about 20 years ago. Came in handy traveling from the Carlsbad area to Salem, Oregon.

Just a heads up if you ever travel down here in So. Cal and are in the Carlsbad area go easy on the gas pedal here. I have gotten a very hefty ticket from two Carlsbad PD hiding behind a palm tree in the median at the beach with only a radar gun sticking out. They also like to park there cruiser around the corner, and have there radar gun pulled out around the corner. My wife caught them doing that one day.

Good on ya, also when able put your X50 in Spec mode and look for the frequency on KA and let us know if you see anything other than 35.5 verified LEO's and if you do post it to http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...5-18-10-a.html

    Appreciate.

I will bro. I have in expert mode now, but once I get the hang of changing it so I can see I will let everyone know for sure. I just got mine on Thursday of last week. Until then, please go lightly and be on alert.
