    Hi everyone!

Thinking about investing in a radar detector as a simple speed ticket would cost as much as a radar detector. I drive a 2005 Subaru WRX. Do you guys have any recommendations? I've been looking at the Valentine1 lately and reading about the pop1 and pop2 stuff. What other radars are good for around the same price? (looking for used)

Thanks guys, I live in Norcal, so i should go with the v1? I'm looking at a v1 for $260 1.8, model number ends in 763. Think that price is too high? I checked if theres any upgrades on valentine1.com for it and it says it can be upgraded to pop2, is it worth the upgrade?

For peace of mind, a V1 refurb (new) unit is $360 directly from V1. Excellent choice on the V1

Welcome to the forum and don't buy used unless it is a Refurb unit from Valentine.

For peace of mind I would get one directly from the Valentine 1 site. If you do get off the "street" for a good price I would still send it in for a refurb/tune/upgrade as applicable.
