    Thx got it installed. Found out the hard way that I needed the extra fuse. I borrow a fuse from an empty circuit to test it then went to AZ to get some 5A fuses. Figure that should be plenty. Looks pretty good in my opinion. Have the mute switch in my unused ashtray so I can conceal it when not in use and for vandals.

    Excellent choice. The 9500ix is a great detector. It's detected ka band for about 1.5-2 miles on a long road in the suburbs. It's not as sensitive to k band as some of the members have mentioned.

    you'll need your own 2 amp fuse, also available at autozone for like $2 for a 5 pack. you'll have to fill both slots on the "add a circuit" for it to work.

    Yep. I couldn't find a 2 amp fuse to put in the add a circuit but did get a 5 amp. Plus the original 7.5 for the radio. There is a 2 amp inline fuse on the direct wire so I figure if anything electrical happens, the inline 2 amp will blow anyway. Thanks.
