    Cool 9500ix Omaha NE

    yo!! just got my 9500ix and seems to work good. only had a couple of weak k band readings so far and a couple have already been locked out. just checking in

    welcome to the forum. you got a good detector there, let me tell you most of the K band alerts in the Omaha area are usually false, the only LEO that I have 100% confirmation that are using K band is in La Vista, other wise most my real alerts have been Ka

    appreciate it fellaz. i quickly found out that the weak k band alerts are from the traffic sensors on the interstate. got them locked out and its been smoove driving. too bad this just came one week after i got a ticket.

    I would recomend running with the tru-lock feature off (aka GPS filter) and monitor the local LEOs in spec mode until you have a really good idea as to what freq. of K-band that the local LEOs are using. IDK what the typical drones use, but I would think that it could possibly prevent you from detecting a true threat. Just a thought. Other may have better advice.

    the majority of the drones I have seen in Omaha run around 24.143 area and most of them are on I-80
