Greetings from L.A.
Just discovered this site when I started shopping for a radar/laser detector. I've read a lot of info on them and STILL am not sure if:
1. They work
2. They work but will become obsolete in a year when new radar/laser guns hit the market.

Depending on the area you live in LA law enforcement mostly use Laser and Radar. I agree with OYUSAN that the V1 and LI will provide very good protection. Even with the best counter measures you are just one Instant-on radar shot away from being nailed. This site has good info on reducing your chances of being a victim.

welcome to the forum, have fun exploring and learning all the information possible. and yes radar detectors do most certainly worked, when used properly. They are not a way out of a ticket, they are just a way of indicating when you are getting hit by radar.

The FCC has determined which frequencies police radar guns can use so it's unlikely we'll see a completely undetectable gun anytime soon.
