Default Saying Hello and Asking for Advice

    Hi Guys,

Im located in Brooklyn NY ... I drive a Black 2010 Audi S4. I have a hardwired V1 and LI DUAL ... i really like the combo and it saved me plenty of times. Now all of a sudden i started to get an issue with the LI .. every time i turn it on it says ... connection is poor or bad. A good friend of mine just purchased the same exact car and i recommended him to buy the same set up as i have. Now he hasnt installed it yet.. so my question is who or where can we go to so they can install his setup and double check mine as well maybe run some tests with an actual gun... and i dont want to go back to the place where i got mine done because i feel like mine was the first LI they ever did. Thanks in advance!

Look at your CPU and check the conections...? Dont let a shop install it. All I had a shop do for me was wire my switch for $20. $20 to get my LI installed isn't bad. And the get a local forum member to check ur set-up and give him a pack of beer and call it a day

According to your error message it sounds like your connection to your CPU is probably the culprit to your problems. Do a good look over the male (phone jack) type connections coming off your sensor heads but it's probably more likely to be a possible bent pin/pins on the female CPU side of the connection. If the CPU pin/pins part are bent you can do minor tweak/bend (using extreme caution) to bend them back to where they need to be. All in all you need to do a really good visual on all your connections/CPU and you should be able to find the problem.

I'm not from NY so no recommendations on a install dealer in that area but there are peeps on this forum from NY who might be able to help you and/or your friend out on your install.

You will probably get more responses if you post in the LI section of the forum so good luck on your fix and remember Cliff from LI has the best customer support you can find IMHO.

Good on ya for the V1, it's my favorite RD also.

Welcome to our most excellent forum.

    How old is your battery?

Mine started doing that and Cliff told me my battery was probably going bad.
Sure enough a few weeks later my car wouldnt start.
Got a new battery and it hasnt alerted to a bad connection since.

Try starting your car first with the LI off, then after the engine is running turn the LI on.

Tried that as well ... first it started giving that error on and off ... and now its just constant. But hopefully i will be going to get it checked out and tested soon.
