Default Fred M with an M car from San Jose, CA

Hello everyone! It feels great to be part of this new exciting community.

I'm trying to determine the best possible radar/lasar jammer for my 2007 BMW M6. I heve limited space in the car therefore I am concerned about installation. Any suggestions from anyone out there? I'm intersted in a highly effective system that does not require large display screens.

Thanks in advance for your help! Fred

Hey jake, make him a member and he can see some of the installs we have come up with. I have a blinder M47 on the front of my E90 for laser and run the V1 and Redline in the cabin for radar detection.

radar/lasar jammer=no such thing, see the thread aways down about them.

I would get a Valentine V1 mounted high by the rear view mirror (hardwired) and a concealed display installed at a different location that is stealth such as next to your cigarette lighter. For laser jamming I would get a Laser Interceptor professionally installed in the grill horizontally. That is what I did and am very happy with my system in my 335xi but there is many effective possibilities. Also the Escort 9500ix is a great radar detector with GPS to eliminate false alarms and Blinder laser jamming products have become a lot better but are not as effective as the Laser Interceptor's.

    Welcome to the forum!

You can't go wrong with a 9500ix or a V1. It just depends on your driving environment (city vs. highway). Lots of good info on the forum.

    Fred,

I would get the V1 for starters. Then look at getting a concealed display. There are options for this if you have an iPhone. You can either get the Valentine concealed display and place it somewhere in your M where only you can see it or you can get RadarActive to integrate to your iPhone. If anything, using the iPhone people watching will think you are using its GPS mapping feature...

For my 2004 M3, I hardwired my V1 just like BMW-NJ recommended and got the RadarActive iPhone kit.

I also agree with BMW-NJ (not that he needs me to agree ) that for laser jamming just get the Laser Interceptor and have it professionally installed. This will be the next step that I will do for my M3.

Meh, another post and run. Hopefully he's not getting advice from the BMW forums.
