Bel 940 No good vs Laser

I just got ticketed on Staten Island driving on Korean War Memorial for going 66mph. =( No warning from the Bel 940 I was using. Ticket says Lidar.
Detectors works well in Jersey though on 287, all Ka band detections.

even the best detectors can't pick up a close up laser shot which it probably was. Where is your detector mounted btw ?

A jammer is crucial these days - can't recommend the Laser Interceptor enough!

By the time you get a laser alert, the LEO already has your speed, unless its picking up laser scatter from cars targeted ahead.

The chance of getting scatter is why I keep my X50 mounted high. Its worked out for me before. unfortunately jammers are illegal here and no good way to hide them on a 05-09 mustang.

Was mounted 3 inch off the dash.
I'm seriously thinking about getting interception device. Ticket is 195 + fees + $300 assessment is already more than what the interceptor cost. I'm going to drag this out till 2015. :*{
