Ex 9500ix owner

After 10 years of use with my V995 S7, decided to upgrade to a 9500ix. The new detector wasn't loud enough at max volume to be heard over my Mustang's radio at high volume. The 9500ix's lower toned "breep" was completely obscured, whereas my trusted V995's higher pitched "beep" was easily heard.

9500ix was immediately returned. Enjoyed it's GPS auto lock out of false signals, but not worth it if I can't hear a warning unless my radio is turned down.

There may have been a few settings that caused it to not be as loud as it could have been. But Escort also sells an amplified remote speaker for those who like loud music.

The new Max is also a better RD for only a little more.
