I'm from Texas, just made an account and this post so i can follow it up with a real thread. I'm torn on getting a 9500ix or a V1. I love the idea of radar detectors because i've always been a cautious deviant

There are much improved devices other than what you mention in your Post.I recommend you do some research before spending any money.

welcome, there are many great RD's, tell us a little about your driving habits. city/highway/combo. are there red light camersa or speed cameras in your area. the more info the better.

Welcome to the forum. The Escort 9500ix and the V1 are two very different radar detectors.
