Hello,
Two weeks ago I got my first speeding ticket in 45 years. I bought a Uniden R1 and now I am interested in learning the nuances of how Radar Speed control works and how to interpret what my detector is telling me. Thanks to all ahead of time for the information exchange.

That's no fun. I was curious, were you running the R1 before the ticket, or purchased after the fact? I've read Radar Roys "BuyingGuide" pdf and gleaned much on techniques, traps, and equipment (yours, and theirs).
