    Hello from New Zealand!
Just found this forum on the web today, and decided to join.
A lot of useful information floating around here!
I am using Bel detectors for the past 16 years.
Just a few days back i found a Redline cheap and bought it.
Googling"" about the Redline, brought up this forum.
I hope that i will find new friends here and share my experiences.

Welcome aboard mate! New Zealand makes me envy you, minus the price of imports there. I'm curious to know what bands you guys frequent there, and how you combat them?

We have 33.4, 34.7 cop car radars,Pole mounted low power K band 24.093-24098 ,and the nasty unmarked Hyundai van(various colors such as blue, black white)also low power and running below the legal frequency range 24.030- 24.048,sometimes they have 24.053. The marked police van is running 24.050 ish.
All the van mounted radars are off axis hard to detect, they have horizontal polarity to defeat detectors.
I use my detector mounted vertical so follows the polarity.
I have around 300 meters warning for the camera van with the Redline or with the Magnum.
Otherwise people started flickering their headlights lately as a warning for cop cars or mobile radars.
I always keep my eyes peeled for any van parked on the side on the back roads where we usually ride.

You know your stuff! VN. Do they sell those 19 band Cobra's down under? Up here Cobra's are good cheap malt beer, 40oz'ers with no bands unless you count a hangover.

Yes they TRY to sell the Cobras and other $ 40 -50 detectors on our trade site.
    Is called Trade Me.
Google Trade Me and you will be able to see prices on detectors and other stuff we have here at the end of the world.
The site will not let you buy anything.
When we go home to Europe and i try to log in from there, the site will not let me...

I frequent a Canadian electronics site visions.ca to gauge outside U.S. rd prices. I see loads of Cobra "open box" discounts, and I wonder why so many returns on Cobra's exist. Test scores on Vortex pretty much explains this.

Cobra's have issues, but knowing that, who would also buy an open box Cobra? And, oh, visions.ca only sells in Canada, accepting no international orders.
