I bought and had professionally installed a quad LI on my car last week. At the same time I had a CB/9500 ci installed. I got the car back on Friday afternoon. Drove it for the afternoon, LI working well with normal start-up. I keyed my microphone on the CB while checking SWR and I think it may have blown my LI speaker out b/c I lost LI output (internal and external) later in the day (couldn't here it on next start-up). It could have blown independently (I am going to check with installer on Monday on wiring).
So, needless to say, I was moderately frustrated on Friday night that my new LI was blown shortly after I drove it from installer. So I emailed Cliff with LI and gave my situation (said that I couldn't hear output from LI but I can see heads firing with digital camera). I asked him in the email what my options were.
He called me in 10 minutes on Friday night at 8 p.m. and offered to meet me halfway between my house and his (I live in Tampa, he lives somewhere north of here) with a new LI CPU that he would setup immediately for me. I don't know him well, but we met once at a CFL meet. He met me that night, we put the new CPU in, and I was good to go (although I'm leaving CB off for now).
So, here's a big thank you to the most responsive customer service I've had from any company or person.
