    Default LI placement Good or Bad ?

    I installed LI heads today ... What do you guys think about the placement ?

    On/Off switch is placed inside the tray

    Nice, clean job! But those heads are too recessed. Gotta get them out there in the open if you want any chance against off-axis shots, which most shots are.

    so, you think I need to bring them more forward ? the shape of the grill id kind of weird and you dont have too many options there ...

    You may need to build a frame behind the plastic, or get some other brackets that let you extend the heads out a bit...

    Yeah, your sensor bubbles are buried in those corners. They won't ever see a shot from the side of the road coming. You gotta get them out from behind that surrounding front end.

    are there any diagrams that show how the beam is spreading out ? As far as I understand, beam diverges as it travels ... something like this ... I<

    So, at the start point it should be very narrow and a bit of obstruction shouldn't be a problem, should it ?

    All you have to do is stand off on the side of the road, looking at your car, and if you can't see the sensor bubbles, then the sensor bubbles can't see the laser.

    do you think by bringing them closer together and pulling forward a bit will solve the problem ?

    I just can't push them out all the way out ... I'll get a ticked within an hour ...
