looks like the big change is an updateable CPU with a faster processor and more memory.

I don't know what the difference in the heads might be.

Guess only Cliff can answer that.

I would like to know if the new CPU can be used on the older heads?

How do I know what CPU I have? Bought mine in July.
Also it would be nice if Cliff drops a few lines to explain what the upgrade offers compare to the last model and if its upgradable by swapping CPU. It would kick @ss if I can test the last CPU against the new CPU during the http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...a-meeting.html.

I just noticed my recent order came with the 8.7 heads not the 8.5.. Cool. Came with Rev 2.9 CPU though which from what I gather is the 7.11 CPU.

Its very cool that LI is still innovating and improving their product rather just sitting on the behind like some jammer companies
